As we reported earlier this summer, the Wes Anderson-themed art show “Bad Dads” was coming to NYC for its sixth installment, courtesy of Spoke Art. The movie-inspired event had its preview last night at the Joseph Gross Gallery gallery and runs throughout the weekend.
The show made headlines after nearly 60,000 Facebook users RSVP’ed for the event. Tickets were available for purchase before the show ranging from $5-$15 depending on the date and time. It sold out almost immediately and scalpers have been popping up all over Facebook, eBay, Craigslist, and shady trench-coated men in back alleys.
Like everyone else, we are curious how this scenario is going to play out. Thus we will be updating you with photos and tales of woe from the lines that are certain to be present all weekend long. Good luck guys, and may Bill Murray be with you.
