Photomosaics are so 90s. Emoji mosaics however, exemplify everything that is now – goofy, fun, and shareable.
Enter Eric Andrew Lewis, web developer for the New York Times and creator of a new emoji mosaic web app. It’s ridiculously simple, just pick an image and upload it to the page.
It only takes a moment to process and then you have your favorite cubist piece converted into little poops, chickens, aliens and eyeballs. What could be better? The processor can’t pick up the more minute details, so give it some bold and high-contrast images to work on as you start out.
