Millenials, rejoice. There is now a place where you can abandon your selfie shame, and even flash your selfie stick for the world to see. It’s called Art In Island, and it’s an interactive museum in the Philippines that allows viewers to step into classic paintings, such as Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night,” or Leonard da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” and become the subject.
This Museum is a playground for a generation trained to see social outings as potential posts. No longer are museumgoers forced to see art from behind an invisible yet seemingly unbreakable line, as visitors can literally climb on the art. 3D art, such as this snowy village scene, gives Art In Island an amusement park feel.
The Museum also aims to change the standard that visitors “are always expected to just look around quietly,” touts their facebook page.
