Central Park has long been the ideal place for frazzled New Yorkers to get lost. A new collaboration between Creative Time and the Central Park Conservancy now brings art into the mix with Drifting in Daylight.
It may not be as grandiose as Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s work in the park, but this six-weekend show aims to delight park wanderers with installations as well as performance and participatory pieces.
The projects, all scattered around the northern end of the park, invite passersby to send postcards to the great beyond, follow the trail of dancing nomads, or enjoy the resident sextet aboard the wandering S.S. Hangover.
A full list and map or projects can be found here. Don’t let this unique experience pass you by – Drifting in Daylight continues on Fridays and Saturdays until June 20th.
