David Bowie, a singular entity in music, fashion, art and all around individuality, passed Sunday, January 10th. This Starman shared with Earth the space oddity that gave us golden years of pop and became a man who sold the world. His early interest in art, attending art school and bringing influences of John Cage and Andy Warhol to his performances, along with a reputable art collection, evolved into his exploration of his own hand and began exhibiting in the 1990s. Ever the soul of spirit, he released Blackstar on his 69th birthday last Friday, January 8–his final studio album and gift of genius. As the world falls down, Ziggy Stardust returns to his place in the universe streaming light and altering the physics of thought. Some wonderful photographs and artwork below of the legendary influencer and everlasting star.
