It feels like Armory Week was only yesterday and already New York City is hosting another art fair! This time it’s the Affordable Art Fair, running from March 30th to April 3rd. This year’s edition includes 72 galleries from six continents, a spread that practically guarantees that you will find something that suits your taste and budget. Constance Old combines the traditional craft rug hooking with the very contemporary practice of re-appropriating found materials in unexpected ways. She uses materials like recycled paper, shopping bags, and construction fencing to make three dimensional wall pieces that are colorful, highly tactile, and fun.
